Come join us as we kick off the BUFF festival season in style. We begin the countdown to UNDERGROUND CINEMA MADNESS with our good friends at the newly converted cinema- the Stuart Street Playhouse! At 200 Stuart St. in Boston's Theater District.
Here is the deal:
Doors open at 6pm. There will be free Harpoon and Boloco Burritos in the lobby until 7pm when we will move into the cinema for a 45 minute sneak peek program of shorts and trailers for our upcoming festival. The theater capacity is 400 so bring everyone you know- they'll thank you for it! There will be tons of giveaways- T-shirts, bags, dildos, DVDs...anything we've got lying around in the BUFF prize closet. One lucky duck will get a pair of all access passes to the fest which gets you into all the parties and screenings during the 8 day fest (a $200 value)!
We will be screening trailers from 10 of our most amazing features and showing a handful of shorts that are sure to short circuit your beer soaked brain!

Is it possible to do something good for the community and have fun at the same time? Well, there is really only one way to find out...
On March 12 at 7pm, The Sasha Burakow Touched By An Angel Memorial Fund will host the Fun-Raising Fund-Raiser at The Vault in Boston, MA featuring the band "Taste" and DJ Hevan. The cause is simple and worthy. We believe that you can have fun while creating an opportunity for someone else less fortunate to have fun at the same time. The money generated on March 12th will go towards bringing the Boredom Busters program to the Boston Medical Center. The Boredom Busters program brings fun to pediatric inpatients through toys and games while they are undergoing treatment.
The Fun-Raising Fund-Raiser requests a $25 donation for a ticket to the event (which includes appetizers, photobooth, and one free ticket to the Apple iPad Raffle!). Epileptic Disco was formed in the Jamaica Plain area of Boston in the Fall of 1993 by Boston Latin Academy Alumni Tom Appleman, Rick McLean, Dennis Doherty, and Dan Daly. ED added Sam Appleman (Tom's brother) as a second emcee in October of 1995 after Sam jumped on stage during one of ED's shows to freestyle. From that point on, ED developed a unique sound of rap vocals layered with powerful heavy laden funk. ED released its first full length album in the Spring of '97 titled "Spread the Seed." ED's popularity grew with its independent release and in the Fall of '97 they signed a recording contract with Heavy Rotation Records (a division of Berklee College of Music) and released "Before, During, and After..." in May of '98. Jeff Rothman played drums on the second album and remained with the group until they disbanded in 1999. Over the years, ED played over 250 shows throughout the New England area (primarily Boston).

Basstown presents two of the most talked-about parties in town in one super party. New nights pop up all the time in the Boston area, but none quite as unique, and different, than Harum Scarum and Foxy.
Both parties take place on different Sundays at Zuzu in Central Square, but tonight we're bringing them out to play and in the open, for everyone to witness.
Foxy is James Cerne, Joseph Colbourne and DJ Nathaneal Bluhm. Disco, boogie, extra glitter and sunshine makes their night one of the newest sensations in clubtopia. They take hold of the upstairs at Good Life, with bright, rare and vibrant disco and dance sounds. Joining them are Red Foxx (of course!) and Mistaker, who will be whipped into playing something delirious and delicious.
Harum Scarum is Horsey Princess 69, Vlad Kromatika and Bobbie Bangs--a tri-pronged pitchfork of Junglism, Dubstep and Fidget House that holds down the fourth Sunday at Zuzu. The Harum Scarum crew will turn Good Life downstairs into a damaged dungeon of delights featuring the dark mistress of Basstown, Volvox and DJ Die Die Die! Young.
