What are featured events?

A featured event is a listing of your event (with a picture if you want) that appears in a special box on The Sitchie's home page with a link to a dedicated page for your event only. A featured event on The Sitchie will help your event to stand out from all others and get you the attention and publicity you need to attract more people to your show or night. Get your event featured on The Sitchie home page, and you can be assured it will be seen by anyone who visits The Sitchie home page at any time. And a featured event does not just get you a listing; it ensures you that The Sitchie will promote your event on other social media outlets. The Sitchie has thousands of Facebook and Twitter friends, and when you get a featured event you get shout outs to those outlets as well as other media sources The Sitchie has connections with like internet radio.

How do I get an event featured?

Contact The Sitchie at info@thesitchie.com to see if there is availability for a particular day or days. If a slot is open, simply send text and a picture to The Sitchie and it will be posted in the featured events box. And on the day of your event (or a day or two prior), The Sitchie will blast a message to all its friends and followers on Facebook and Twitter telling them about your event, as well as mention your event on other media outlets like internet radio.

Are Featured Events Free or Paid?

Featured events are a paid service, but don't worry: The Sitchie will work with you and your budget. Whomever you are – a bar, a DJ, a promoter, or a band – The Sitchie wants to work with you to publicize your event at whatever price fits your budget.

How Do I Pay for My Event Listing?

Once you and The Sitchie have settled on a day(s) to list your event, payment can be made via Paypal. You don't have to sign up with The Sitchie or give credit card numbers. If you don't use Paypal, checks can be mailed. Featured events are NOT 'per day' but 'per length of agreement', so if you and The Sitchie agree your featured event will run for three days you pay for those three days.

How Long Can My Event Run For?

If there are no conflicts with other events, your event can run several days to two weeks. The Sitchie guarantees at least 24 hours for a featured event listing. That is the minimum time you can always be assured of.
