How do I enter?
Entering the giveaway is easy. Just sign-up and sitch. For every 'sitchie' you post, you'll be entered into a drawing to win one of three Visa Gift Cards. The giveaway period will be open from September 25, 2009 to November 1, 2009.
How do I sitch?
After you register with the Website, you'll be able to log in from your computer or your cell phone and post live updates (or sitchies, as in "what's the situation") about what's happening at Boston bars. Sitching is an easy way to share your thoughts about the bar scene, and it helps others make informed nightlife choices. For more on how to sitch, see giveaway rules item #2.
Who can enter the contest?
You must be 21 or older to enter the contest. Family and employees of The Sitchie.com are not eligible for this contest nor are bar owners and event promoters who work for bars.
Is it really that simple?
Yes! For every status update, or sitchie, you post about a bar, you'll be entered for a chance to win one of the three Visa Gift Cards.
Giveaway Rules
1. Maximum of 50 entries per person. One sitchie posted equals one entry. No entrant can win more than one of the gift cards.
2. Posting sitchies is easy; examples can be seen on the site in the 'Latest Sitchies' box. To enter any sitchie, simply go to a bar that you're visiting and click the "enter your sitchie" button. You may then type in your sitchie into the text box and hit submit. That's it, you've done a sitchie.
3. The drawing for all three gift cards will take place no more than a week after the giveaway period closes.
4. To be eligible for the prizes, registration with the site and any valid sitchies must be made between the giveaway dates (September 25, 2009 to November 1, 2009).
5. No individual may attempt to exceed the 50 sitchie/entry limit by signing up with the site through different email addresses. Attempts by any individual to enter the giveaway with more than one email address will result in that individual's disqualification.
6. Individuals who have registered with The Sitchie.com prior to the contest period, may still be eligible. If you registered with The Sitchie.com prior to the contest period, please email The Sitchie.com at info@thesitchie.com and declare your intention to enter. Any qualifying posts must be made by individuals during the giveaway period; old sitchies will not count towards your entries.
7. Any posts that are deemed by The Sitchie.com owners to be fraudulent, defamatory, or lewd will result in the entrant's disqualification from the giveaway and the removal of the unacceptable posts from the Website. 8. The drawing of all qualified entrants will take place in early November 2009. Entrants need not be present to win and will be contacted if absent with instructions on how to claim their prize. If the winner does not respond within 30 days after the drawing to claim his or her prize, a redrawing will take place and the prize will be awarded to another.
